Olivia Alvarez serves as a Project Specialist for Fresno Building Healthy Communities. Olivia was born and raised in the Central Valley where she spends most of her time playing soccer, doing volunteer work, conducting research, and loves hiking at Yosemite National Park. Olivia earned her bachelor’s in public health from the University of California, Merced and is currently working on her master’s degree at California State University, Fresno.
She has experience working with a wide range of topics such as oral health, tobacco control in the Latinx community, and the effects and consequences of family members of the incarcerated.
She hopes to one day continue to help communities in the Central Valley by using her knowledge and expertise as a health care provider.
