Maria Gonzalez joined the Fresno Building Healthy Communities team in September 2022 as our Project Specialist.

As a child immigrant from Mexico and resident from Madera, Maria is proud to be part of an organization that helps her region create healthier, safer and more productive lives. Even though Maria and her family have faced many difficult challenges, she believes everyone deserves the right to have a voice and have a dream. “Un Dia A La Vez”, or "One day at a Time", is her favorite phrase.

In her spare time Maria enjoys spending time with her little one Edwin and family. She also enjoys long road trips.
