Community Health Worker
Gina Santillan joined the Fresno Building Healthy Communities in October of 2020 as a Community Health Worker. She is currently working within Fresno Unified School District as a contact tracer.
During the early part of the pandemic, Gina became trained to administer the vaccine and is proud of earning this new skill.
Originally a preschool teacher, Gina applies her skills from the classroom to working with parents and teachers within the school system today. She firmly believes that these valuable skills help her work within her community and help navigate COVID-19 concerns with families, students, and educators.
In her spare time, Gina enjoys a passion of the outdoors and shares these experiences with her grandchildren.
