Invest in our youth! Restore, don’t ignore!
An improving economy means more money will be going into our local schools. Fresno Unified School District is expected to receive over $15 million dollars thanks to the Fair School Funding Law – formally called the Local Control Funding Formula – to be used to improve student achievement and school climate.
Fresno Building Healthy Communities leaders – made up of students and parents – are leading the work toward changing our district’s school climate by advocating for a restorative discipline model, creating school environments where students can succeed and graduate.
We’re asking for change! We need #OneHealthyFresno with better schools!
Since 2010, Fresno Building Healthy Communities leaders have been working to transform our school district for the betterment of our youth.
Now, with more money coming into Fresno Unified School District thanks to the Fair School Funding Law – also known as the Local Control Funding Formula – the district should #InvestInYouth with the most need. It’s the law.
It’s time Fresno Unified show students and their families that they are #1 by spending 1% of this new funding to create more meaningful family engagement opportunities. Investment leades to change, which leads to achievement. Together, we will be able to create #OneHealthyFresno by helping students learn and achieve.
